This is using layer-modes and color balance

That font is fat GnuTux (Police Cruser). The last two I did I thought worked out ok. It was the one with the purple background when I wanted a transparent background that I didn't understand what happened.
I did the others without 'run interactive', so I assume that is why it happened.

@Sallyanne - Ah, yes..sorry. I see what you mean now.

Not sure what happened here? Supposed to have a transparent background.

If you select "Invert" when using the interactive option, the background is filled and beveled.

In this example, I ran BRL twice, once with "Invert" selected to get the background and once with "Invert" unchecked for the text. It can take a loooong time to run inverted, depending on how big the background is and which curve you've selected.

I love what you did with the strawberries Graechan. Tux, that Butterscotch is my favorite map so far.

Recently, I replaced my computer as many here now know. Now, if I run this script, I have to use a flattened spherical environmental map else I get solid black texts. Maybe I'm just doing something wrong. I tried both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the plugin but the same issue. Not sure if it may indeed be a Win8.1 issue with the GIMP and this Script-fu or not. :)

I think it may have something to do with the way it's run. What I mean is that from what I found, this can be run from 3 different menus.
ie. The Create, Map and Alpha to Logo menus.

I used Create and Alpha to Logo but have not tried Map version yet. Very strange indeed. Pretty much useless as is since the result's just a flat text with some color changes when I use texture option. Maybe Tux can weigh in as to what's going on. I'm afraid it's going to be a Win8.1 issue though so oh well. Didn't have these issues with Win7 64-bit GIMP. :)

Well, you can officially call me an idiot now; I was using the Environmental logo instead of Bevel Reflect. Idiot I am. lolol

Now I'm happy; forget all the above entries and if folk here are kind, they would erase my idiocy form me. lol

OK; used this as my target enviromap and then ran Metallic Something Gradient to give it a more crystalline look (added plastic wrap followed by sparkle too). :)

edit:
Just realized that I didn't link my target; just did. lol

I missed this one Graechan, glad to know I can entertain you without dancing the Limbo.

EnviroLogo does look a lot like Bevel Reflect Logo. :hehe

They both do basically the same thing, with one using GIMP's lighting filter to map and the other using ML Bevel Reflect to map.
