I have played a bit with this, and am confuzzeled as to how to get the colors I want. When I run the script (not the create) it always comes out bright blues and I have to recolor. Is that right or am I missing something?

That always comes out bright blue because of the default gradient on the first dialog of the script. If you change the gradient to colors you want, it will come out some other bright color. If you want to make a FG andBG (RGB) gradient, make the FG & BG colors you want, click the gradient choice and scroll up to the FG BG selection in the popup box, or scroll for a different gradient. As you can see, even though you have different FG & BG colors the popup box comes up black and white there. No worries, just click it and you can see the colors have "taken" in the dialog box. After that, click OK and the next dialog comes up. Sometimes it scoots behind the first one and you kind of have to click behind the first box. While the script is running, it makes a sphere in the layers. That's the sphere from the gradient. Also note at the very top, in the dropdown box, choose Run Interactive. That give you the choice of any other maps you have open and may want to use.
Gradient and Run Interactive are the only two changes I made in the default settings.

I may save this bit for a full-blown future tutorial.
