Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a script/plug-in available for creating passport-size photos in Gimp?

I am not sure if there is already a template I can arrange pp-size photos for printing from Gimp. If there is no easy way to do it, maybe our noble and generous script coders could find time aside their busy schedules to come up with a script that would automate the process.

Thanx and stay blessed.

I'm not sure how practical a script would be - what images are you starting with? and which set of requirements?:

There should be different templates to print off photos in your photo viewer. If you have windows you may have 'windows live photo gallery'. I have it but still prefer irfanview. Others here could tell you what is best to use in Linux or Apple.

Hi all,

I am totally satisfied with this script.

However, there is no way to save presets for later use. I am requesting and hoping someone adds a feature to save settings.

Many thanks again.

Joseph

Hi Graechan,

It would be better to save presets the normal way it's done in Gimp, since the number of presets can be unpredictable.

The script provided by JamesH (http://gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=9981&hilit=passport+photo#p130608) and the English translation by Graechan (http://gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=9981&hilit=passport+photo#p130620) no longer work in the latest version of GIMP(I'm using 2.10.14).

The script throws an error:
ERROR : eval: unbound variable REPLACE

To correct this and make it work all you need to do is edit the script and find "REPLACE" and replace it with "CHANNEL-OP-REPLACE". There should be 2 instances.

Otherwise just download the corrected script ;)
