Just Firefox and Opera shouldn't be anywhere near taxing on my system. It could be avast maybe? I have most of it's realtime garbage turned off though

Yeah i would try and turn off AVAST and run Gimp that way. Seems AVG does the same thing with GIMP.

I'm pretty sure I disabled it, and still no luck, I actually had more hang ups this time. :/

Nice, did not know Luce had been made for Gimp too. Been using the PS version earlier.
Seems to be working ok.

Reddog site access is blocked by GDATA (virus detected).
Is it possible to have the win 32 compiled version here?

Thanks Rod, but unfortunately I get anyhow the stop, so the "virus" is inside the compiled verions
(Virus: Gen:Variant.Katusha.5)

It is most likely a false positive. I would turn off my antivirus software and try running it again. :)

Bonjour,

I recompiled this plugin for Gimp 32bit / 64bit Windows. I do not know if it will make things better, I hope ...

Maybe it will Sam, but i really don't think it matters. As it works fine for me and others. No issues whatsoever.

@Graechan - I'm thinking you could do something similar to this using your Impact Script
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=6917
The light shapes are very similar.

Yes! You need to duplicate the image layer first. Then do Light Rays in G'MIC, lock the transparency on the rays and fill with color of your choice. The coins layer is moved below the light rays layer.

David perhaps you can have a color choice in the light rays filter.

I have a question. Is it not possible to comment on gimp plugin registry anymore? I see that there is only a section below to open questions.
I also can not give votes.

I know it sucks doesn't it? I always comment with the questions button. :lol

:)
I do not know why they removed that feature. I can not find the way to contact the developer.

With any of the plugins (Luce and G'MIC) I can not do what I posed here:
http://www.gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=5404

That is, like every white hole emit their own light in a conical shape, not as if the light came from behind.
