Here's what I got finished so far. I'm not happy with the 'D' at all. The 'N' was one of the hardest letters I've made thus far, but I still have a few letters and all the numbers yet to be made.
Any suggestions for that 'D'? Let me know.

The straight with the bend, like you have used on the middle part of the "A" could be used at the top or bottom of all straight letters that then require a curve I.E B,D,P etc.

Maybe a Giant "Elbow" pipe for the D to look more rounded?
Epic font! nice job! :D

Thanks and thanks for the suggestion. I did however create a new 'D' (see below), That I think is much better.
I've also created 7 more brushes for my 'Pipeline Construction Brush set'. I'm probably going to have to make more, so I'll be adding the new brushes to the set when I'm done with the font.

What do you think of the "New" 'D'?

Old 'D'

I don't mean to throw a wrench in everything ;)
When you add the vent part that stand out more, wouldn't it be better to use them only as capitals? If you are planning only one version it might be better to decide whether to use the vent part in all (N, Q, S look great) or none. Just an observation on first look.

maybe the D would work better with a flat left side, like on the "I", and only curves on the right side.

I was only planning to make uppercase letters, but I think I might see about adding the lowercase letters as well. I could also through in a vent here or there on all the uppercase letters, to give them there distinction as being caps.
I'm still not sure if I'm going to create lowercase letters.

Thanks for your hint Odin. ;)

Thanks 2-Ton. :bigthup
I'm going to make numbers too, but I'm debating if I should make lowercase letters. :puzzled

For the D how about one with extenders like this.

How about the D having longer 45 degree angles like so (forgive my butchery and lack of respect for shadows in this hack job...)

The D looked fine in the beginning. Just add what Odin suggested. :)
Also if you want the letters made into a PHF font we should do it without shadows so folks can add their own.

Looking fantastic Wallace!

Thanks Rod.
I'm not adding shadows to the letters, only for this posting of the WIP.
I'm going to add some vents, as per Odin's suggestion. I also think that I'll be making the lowercase letters as well as the numerals.

Thanks Warrior. ;) Even though it's turning in to lodes of work, I'm enjoying it and can't wait to see it use as a font. It's not going to be a TTF/OTF or anything like that, It's going to be a Photofont.

That looks pretty good! Thanks for putting that together, I'm going to refine that design. I think that would work out well.
Thanks again RobA! :jumpclap

That looks good too. Maybe I'll use a combination of this design and RodA's for the newest 'D'.
Then I'll post it and see which one people like most.
