Just finished working on a new facebook cover for my Son's magic page, I created the playing card suits and made them into an animated brush, which you can download from here.
The playing card photo was taken by my Son and the background was cobbled together from other background images I had created.
The image of my Son had the G'mic Graphic novel filter applied which worked really well and the wings where created then motion blurred to try and look more like light.
The font effect is one of the standard alpha to logo scripts but with the curve bend filter applied to create the squashed middle.

After some very excellent suggestions here is a revamp.

Decided to enhance the photo colouring

Blended the two photos together so the top half is lighter due to the wings.

The hearts behind him seem to make him look crowded, but all in all well done! :D

he4rty: excellent work, the typical he4rty quality! i really like the drama of it and i think the composition is very good - apart from what moko said about the hearts sort of crowding up a bit around the picture of your son.

Thanks for the comments everyone much appreciated, Esper he is actually wearing these big square sunglasses. Moko & AnMal agree with you about the hearts but I lost count how many times I kept placing and deleting the things to try and get it looking right and balanced, I think in the end I just gave up.

Had a revisit of the image and decided the best thing I could do was to delete the big red heart from the middle, see first post.

YES, that nagging heart is gone, now he looks free to trick our minds with his magical endowments. ;)

Sallyanne - Thanks for such a lovely comment.
Moko - Thanks for the advice, I think sometimes you spend so long looking at an image you sometimes miss the obvious and it needs a fresh pair of eyes to point things out.

he4rty: looks prefect now! i like the new colours and it looks a lot less crowded just by that big heart being out of the way. hope your son is happy!
