It's a good concept. Perhaps if you had some shadowing from the foreground layers onto the layers just behind, you would get a bit more depth from the image.

I like the colors as well, conbaqui!
Just keep in mind what you have in the background of the startup message area. The startup text is normally black but a theme may change that.

Here is an example of the technique I was talking about with shadowing on multiple layers. Not sure if the same kind of thing would help your splash image pop, but it might.
