@CRogers i see your point i too usually prefer OS M3D is a exception and btw run perfectly even if not natively in linux and mac. And yes i try Mandelbulber i like too, but if its source code is shared alas there are much less users sharing parameters
If you have a look to the Fractalforums, where m3d is hosted you will see that even if the M3D source is not public , there was and still is collaboration between the developers.
But on the other side you may even have another reason to prefer Mandelbulber, M3D works only at 32 bit, mandelbulber also at 64bit
