I found this tutorial and thought it was a pretty cool effect, the above is my attempt at it.
I'm sure this could be adapted for lots of different effects so I've added a link to the website.

Thanks guys. What I like about the tute is the way to make those bright points of light on the curve. It's a new technique to me.


Your right it is pretty similar, I'll have to try it out.
