Esper,
Jeez! Many super-interesting tricks and techniques in this tutorial.
I got lost and although I insisted on continuing until the end of the tutorial, I could not play it. :(
But I will try again. ;)

Thx another nice tuto!

Akros, you dont have to do all the trickery i did for the stroke
id rather like to see what you come up with, instead of trying to recreate my tutorial to the pixel ;)

Esper,
I used another font (Neovix), and tried a stroke of 10px (instead of 5px).
But at some point the trick to get sharp corners, I lost myself.
I tried to vary my interpretation of the instructions, but the results were still fleeing expected. :puzzled
Eventually decided to continue even seeing that something was not as it should.
My result was centralized with the stroke (I have reversed some step), and very thick. It got a little monster! :rofl

But I'll redo the tutorial, perhaps even tomorrow.

So many great tutorials, so little time! BTW, is there a list of your chrome curves with pics to show what they look like? Seems to me there was but I can't begin to remember where, and I'm off to work and can't look.

thanks 2-ton !

i wrote a post about chrome curves here:
http://gimp-science-labs.blogspot.de/20 ... urves.html

btw, they are not my chrome-curves ;)

and they are not really fixed, thats why i showed an example how to shape your curve, according to your desired effect
you just watch what happens when you create another "wave" and tweak it until the chrome looks right

all the chrome techniques are based on what Draconian teached and the monsoonami youtube tutorial
i just took it one step further

Thanks for the direct link...I need to retire so I have enough time to hunt things down! I used to bookmark what I thought was good to save, but now I have so many bookmarks that it takes me longer to look through them than to google!
