Apparently, I got Perl working in GIMP, but calling on Perl scripts (even though they run "ok") they throw a ton of errors.

I run the script and it works flawlessly after this pops up:



Am I missing something else that is needed for Perl to run in GIMP? I ask because none of the PDB calls are deprecated, but it stills throws the errors.

I had similar errors when running some of the other perl scripts I've found. I think this may be due to the renaming of procedures within the GIMP procedural database; the Gimp-Perl interface is somewhat old and unmaintained. I haven't spent much time looking at that part yet - I figured that since the scripts seem to run there wasn't a huge rush and most Gimp user-scripters seem to focus more on either Script-fu/Scheme or Python.

It seems like whoever was maintaining the Gimp-Perl extension stopped doing so, as I have not been able to find an updated version. I don't know if I have the abilities to fix it or not. Once upon a time I could go into a program written in a language I didn't know and figure out what was wrong with it - I got a job fixing C code that way - but that was many moons ago.
