Maybe you can post the extras that you have. I posted all that I currently have.

I just installed MathMap on my laptop ... 64 bit. Those extras are not part of the Linux package. I will look and see how PhotoComix's ones do in it.

OK. I zipped the extras folders (only).

They belong in the Program Files / gimp2.0 / mathmap / expressions folder.

Yours have some nice ones that I didn't have. The one "Straight_Sticht_Equirectangular" blows up when I try to use it.

I cannot find Extra_animation!
I could use it for other things too.

extra_expressions.zip is the name of the link. there are instructions where to put it when you download.

I posted too soon.wasn't aware that this thread had 3 pages.
In the meantime I d'led those scripts but I'm really stumped where to put them.
I use Gentoo Linux and I installed mathmap from source (make & make install).
It was installed in /usr/bin with a symlink in /usr/lib/gimp/2.0/plugins.
I can move the binary to /home/user/.gimp-2.6/plugins and it will still work.
However the "extra" scripts are not binary and copying them to the plugins directory doesn't work.
Mathmap simply ignores them.
Maybe someone here has a solution?
Gerard.

Yes place the Mathmap folder in your gimp-2.6 directory in programs.
Place the binary in plug-ins folder.

Your reference to the Filters>Animation>Time change option isn't an option for me. Is that part of GAP or is it another script? I had been looking for something like this but to no avail.

It's missing on my new Gimp, but instead I have Video > Utils > AnimSettings with Semi-flatten. Maybe you have this one? I just uncheck the Semi-flatten option.

Well, that option is not present either. But I found a work around. Thanks. Cool tutorial by the way.

Greg, I am a little confused as usual on #15 of your tute. I dragged the layers 1 - 6 into the new black image. Now it says drag the layer of the next layer number plus 20 from image two. So, does that mean I start at image 7 on layer two and go up to #20 layer?
Mine doesn't come out with the same numbers as shown on your image. It has frame 7 and under it frame 27. I only went up to layer 20......

EDIT: I think I sorted out down to the end of 18 where I had to merge layer 7 down to 27....

I am super stuck from #19 down. Is there a way you can put the numbers in that I start and end from? starting at this point. I am determined to do this. I have it saved up to this point. The last number I used from image one was frame #7. The last number I used from image 2 is frame #27.......

My applogies for any confusion. I will be re-writing the tutorial to try and make it clearer.
What we're doing, in it's simplest terms, is stacking Frame 1 on Frame 1, cutting away unwanted portion and then merging them into 1 layer.
Stacking Frame 2 on Frame 2 and doing the same.
I repeat this for each pair of frames.
(The first 6 frames didn't need anything cut away, which is why I just dragged them.)
When I redo it, I promise it will be much clearer!

Greg

I hope this helps clear up what I was doing. If not I will fix it again, as I want it to be as understandable as possible. My head's a bit foggy, but hopefully this isn't.
