I tend to work around issues without thinking about it Graechan. When I am actually out of my zone, I would have said to myself, wouldn't it be nice if I could just disable drop shadow option and then request that feature, but I do so much on autopilot sometimes that again, I put up with the flow. lol

Again, thank you for this one. I actually played with another Script-fu of yours earlier today too (Cobblestone Mosaic). lol

Take care Graechan. :)

You guys must have good eyes. I can't see where the flaw was. Anyway, very nice script as usual.

Your not alone molly, I can't see anything different between the two images.

So, I have not had much experience with the logo type scripts...I don't see how to make it work on, say, a selection rather than type in a word.
Great script...can make metallic looking text!

Esper the fix was easy as it was already there but I messed it up by slightly blurring the bump-layer instead of the text layer
(plug-in-bump-map 1 image text-layer bump-layer 250 45 50 0 0 0 0 TRUE FALSE LINEAR)
   (gimp-layer-set-lock-alpha text-layer TRUE)
   (plug-in-gauss-rle2 RUN-NONINTERACTIVE image text-layer 3 3)
   (gimp-layer-set-lock-alpha text-layer FALSE)

I sent the images to my poor overworked granddaughter who is neither color blind or has failing eyesight like me for confirmation :rofl

2-ton it always had the ability to work on a selection if one was present or it would try to create a selection from the Alpha-layer,
please see Script-Fu/Alpha-to-Logo listing

selection shown in red

Molly, no tut needed. It is just the script-fu, nothing else. I used a gold color as the text color, set it to the glass setting, and set a gradient for the background. Oh, and I did do a small vignette so the corners were a bit shaded.
Graechan, Thanks for the pointer.
Script-fu>alpha to logo. Gold color, plastic, gradient background.

I have a Plastic & Glass script. I have no clue as to how to apply it to an image. Do you have to add it as a layer?

Spunkygurl80 there are 2 scripts together in the file, the logo script will create an image for you,
but the alpha-to-logo script requires you to create an image (preferably a text-layer, or a layer with a transparent background)
