Some of you might know this character if you are from the old GT working well and active days, but others might not! This is Renn Mei (yes spelled the same as my Rabbit like Character "Mei"), she also has an older sister Kohana, and a best friend Kano! I used to draw her and them a lot when I was younger (Going on 4 years now! T.T). I've been thinking about drawing her again to see how my style has matured a bit but still keeping her original design intact!

The line art was drawn on paper and tweaked in GIMP, and I did all my coloring in GIMP.

So, here's Renn!
I suppose she grew up too.
But her clothing style is exactly the same! If nothing matches it's fine, it's part of her personality to mix and match.

I think I made her look a bit too "Grown", she doesn't look as innocent...Now she looks like a trouble maker. xD

mokonafan: she's really charming! i love her style, i wish there had been clothes like that in the stores when i was a kid - but of course, it's never too late, i could go look for them now . i don't think she looks like a trouble maker now, she looks like she'd be a fun acquaintance. i like the style you drew her in too, i can see you're developing and learning new things - but if i had to choose i'd still choose the old cartoony ones. they are so spot on, simple but expressive.

I notice she looks older now - more like a teenager where as in the earlier drawings she looks more like a child.

Very typical of your super-detailed and colorful style. It is very very good, and you have improved so much in only a few years....just like Merrak! I still remember the first pic I saw you post was Mokona, so cute. And I also remember Merrak's first posting of Mara, the girl in boots!

I prefer the younger one too for how cute she is! But I think my coloring is a lot better now even with a mouse!
Maybe I'll draw her again as a Chibi, that's much cuter than her "big" version.
I think if I wore cloths like that in public my mother would dig a little hole and jump in it. XD - But I like the style I gave this Character!

She was supposed to be like a girl who likes sk8bords and stuff but has a girly personality too that's why she's got pants and a skirt, she's like on the fence. xD
