Knotter 0.9.5 released! http://knotter.mattbas.org/Version/0.9.5 :noiseblower :party :grooving
It took a bit too long to release it but here it is.

The most visible changes are to the user interface.
There are many new options in the Preferences dialog and there are a few differences to the styling dialogs.
There's also a new Russian translation.

The file format is slightly different, old files can still be opened but there may be some minor differences.

Excellent :jumpclap :bigthup
Thank you very much!

I've compiled it. The link for 64-bit deb package does not show any files, or at least I have not found it :)

There's always something that goes wrong with those packages :(

For some reason I'm no longer able to get the 64 bit cross compiler to work. Anyway, you don't need the makefile if you use Qt Creator.

Thanks, download the 64Deb package and appears to have installed OK, although I'm going to have to try and read through the manual at some point.

I'm having a display problem with knotter_0.9.5-2_i386.
The bottom of the program is not visible on my screen.
I can't adjust screen height or maximize the program. (ubuntu 13.10, 1280 x 800 res)

Here is a full sized screen shot (1043 x 776).

I don't know if its the knotter program or not but I have been having the same issue with Gimp on Ubuntu 12.04 64bit 1024*768 res.

I get that too until I maximize Gimp which makes everything visible.

First i would check if the OS is using the correct screen size resolution
That usually is automatically detected but not always correctly and errors may go unnoticed :

With a wrong, a bit too small size everything may even look better ... till you don't stumble on one of the few application window built to use all the available vertical space,
and then if errors in the screen size the window will end below the screen or below the taskbar

at least this happened to me ,twice on 2 different computers:roll:

Tested the package for 64-bit on Kubuntu 12.04 and it works fine.
Thanks mbasagli.

I think this is caused by the docked dialogs. Now Knotter has 3 rows of them instead of just 2 in the default layout.
You can try to move them In a position that will fit the screen.

Knotter 0.9.6!!

http://knotter.mattbas.org/Version/0.9.6

The most notable new features are: a set of plugins that allow to edit the knot as image with external programs and an online plugin repo that will allow some easy download and upgrade of the available plugins.

I've also fixed the window sizing issue that was mentioned by Odinbc for 0.9.5.

Since the rpm packages got very few downloads and I still have issues with my build environment I decided to remove them from the release. If someone needs them just ask and I'll make them.
