Can only but agree with the above post, you are a legend Fencepost and your tutorials have been an inspiration for me to explore gimp more.

Would definitely be interested in the scripts.

Hy Fencepost ,nice to hear from you again.
Sad that you had bad experiences, i too had some..surprises in the past

But i did my best to give to that type of behaviours no more attention that deserve (very close to none )

I think to have still most of your scripts but if are updates are obviously welcome !

Nice to see you on line Fencepost. We miss you a lot.
I also have all your scripts and wouldn't part with them. I especially like your rain and snow animations.

Hey Fencepost great to see you around here again.
Sorry to hear some folks don't appreciate your contributions to the GIMP community. The work and time you have placed in your scripts is greatly appreciated. I thought i had collected all of your good works but alas seems i have missed a few?

Hi all! I've been away from the graphic's scene for quite awhile and started up again this past summer with my focus now on 3D stuff, with a little bit of GIMP mixed in. I was looking for an old script I wrote and couldn't find it on my current computer and started googling. This thread showed up in the search and I hoped the script might here, but alas it's not. However, by a stroke of luck, I remembered I had a backup of all my scripts on another computer that's nearly dead and was able to recover every one of them. Yay me! :)

At any rate, I see y'all have been pressing forward with GIMP and diligently updating my scripts to version 2.8 (which I greatly appreciate). If you're interested in going through the scripts I have that aren't currently available anywhere else, let me know and I'll send you the zip file and a couple of links to tutorials on using the scripts. You can even copy the tutorials from the other sites and post them here if you wish. In some of the scripts (even some you already have), I've added bells and whistles to suit my needs. So, if you feel those alterations might be beneficial to others, by all means, incorporate them where you see fit.

I'd like to say that I'm coming back to GIMP and will be contributing again, but I lost my desire after having a number of bad experiences with people who only seem to be only capable of whining and complaining about things someone has given them completely free and without strings attached. I only give so much, then it's time to stop, which I did.

Keep the faith! Cheers!

Art

Edit: Once you get the scripts posted, I'll update my DA page to link users here to download.

Welcome back FP; your chrome script's one of my favorites by the way. :)

Everyday I admire your scripts, Fencepost. I like specially "animated snow", the first script I search at internet as soon as I became a gimper.

Good to see some familiar faces and hear from some new folks too. Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate your efforts here.

Looks like those that wanted the scripts have downloaded them and I have removed the zip files from my Dropbox so it's not continually being accessed.

I also have a couple more on my home computer and will upload them later. They may or may not prove useful, but do with them what you will. I quickly tested them in GIMP 2.8 and I "think" they work, but it's possible I'm using old code. Some need work though.....

Here's some quick examples of what I have:

Grungy Photo based on the tutorial here: GIMP Grungy Photo

Original

Image

Grungy
Image

Whirl and Pinch All Layers (I have no idea what the heck I was trying to accomplish with this one! There are no default settings, so you'll have to experiment. :))

Image

Spiral Rotate (Two different versions. One is based on a request from a friend.)

Animated

Image

Single image

Image

Ripple Texture (one of my very favorites!) The script has been updated with more functions and doesn't have the same interface as the one in the tutorial links below. Much better than the original.

Image

Here's two quick tutorials on a couple of different ways to use the script (you can copy the images and steps and use them here, if you want): Gimper.net Ripple Texture & Tribal Art

Flowing Sand (Somewhat similar to my lava script, but with different options and grainy!)

Image

3D Environment Mapping (Thought I saw a reference that this one is available, but wasn't sure, so I included it anyway.)

Image

Square Space Tunnel (If you're looking to tie up your computer for awhile, this is the script for you! LOL)

Image

That's it on the screenshots, but there are other scripts in the zip file, such as:

Reverse all layers: reorder the layers in an animation. Top goes to bottom/bottom goes to top.
Multi layer copy: let's you quickly add additional copies of the active layer.
Apply border to all layers: Adds a border of chosen width, color, blend mode, and opacity to all layers. For some reason I didn't include a merge down function.
Colorify all layers: Pick a color, any color and apply to all layers in the image. Watch out, there are no blend modes/opacity options to choose from.
Colors invert all layers: Self explanatory
Polar coordinates all layers: Self explanatory
Watermark: You'll need a pattern called watermark or it will throw an error.
Copy multiple layers (this one causes an error, but it works): Different from multi layer copy. This one is for animations. You tell the script which open image to work on (Image # is found in the status bar at the top of the GIMP window); you can reverse the order of the layers (takes bottom copy and merges it with top copy and vice versa); change blend mode/opacity.
Matrix: creates a simple "matrix-style" background.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Anyway, once you download the zip file, let me know and I'll delete it from my Dropbox and modify this post so people aren't always trying access them.

Looks great, Graechan!

I've added a new link to my last post for the final 2 scripts.

The new scripts are: a high-pass script I made for a friend & a desaturation script based on the settings here: Epaperpress desaturation settings

Y'all enjoy! Take care. Art

Thank you fencepost for the extra scripts will play with them soon, and Molly the Santa's came from some fonts created by Summers that I downloaded.
