AnMal hasn't been feeling too well today and has had bad back pains which have now moved round to her stomach. I have just received a text saying she is being rushed to emergency. Can I please ask for your prayers. I love her very much and I don't want anything bad to happen to her. Thank you.

Thank you both. I don't think I will be sleeping tonight. I tried to send a text telling her I love her and found out I had run out of phone credit so I rushed out to the garage to get some more not thinking that she won't be able to receive my texts in hospital. I have no way of finding out what is happening. I have a number in my notepad which I think is her parents' but I stupidly didn't put a name by it. I'll try it in the morning and see if I can find anything out.

I have faith that she is in good hands and will be ok soon.

Thank you so much everybody. AnMal just sent me a text to let me know she is OK: The tests showed nothing wrong and whatever was causing the pain passed! I am really grateful for your prayers and support and happy to be part of this community.

Erisian if you don't mind a suggestion try to never worry especially for the persons that you care of .and you love

I know may sound strange,we were educated to think that be worried for somebody is a manifestation of loving interest or anyway something positive to do

But be worried has not to be confused with taking care, or support or help

Taking care and support is positive tend to create positive outcome , be worried is negative , the positive would be imagine the best for the beloved, wishing and expecting the best outcome

Our brains are really powerful and tend to materialize our thoughts (not talking of wishful thinking here ...) and so to make your worries real

A short example to explain:

the mother of a dear young friend was and is very apprehensive , tend to worry a lot, she was worried about her son not having yet a girlfriend ...maybe he was gay and didn't want to admit to himself, but she start to investigate if a similar sexual disease could be cured..before too late before he got AIDS

My friend was very sensitive and start to feel more and more oppressed that continuous worrying around him , he felt spied , and soon discover was not a paranoia because WAS really spied ( her mother was spying to find for some evidence of the "sexual disease" .. )

So he become more and more nervous,and irritable also because be believed gay in a little conservative village could be very painful ..alas she had read that similar irritable behaviors are sign of probable drug addition

But what created the real disaster was that she was sharing her worries with other mothers and the people from her Church and that in a little town , so soon were rumors of him gay, maybe pedophile and anyway HIV positive, and addicted to crack or heroin

To make this long story short soon rumors about a new young drug dealer come to local police:
he never used hard drugs but he did like hemp and the police got him and he ended jailed

Not too long but when he went out another of his mother worry become tragically real , that to be left alone

The morning after his return from jail she find a "goodbye" note on the table and his room empty

He left the village overnight , to go where nobody know him and far as possible from her mother worry
I know the story because he ended in Amsterdam looking for a place to squat, and we squat together the same building

And,BTW ,he was not gay !

Please don't take me wrong i'm not saying that you worry in same style of my friend mother, i'm just suggesting that expect and imagine the best for beloved and friends may be more healthy and safe then worry for them, whatever the situation

Mind that wishing the best may well include be ready to take care and support if something goes wrong
...on the contrary spending too energy in worrying ,makes more difficult do well the right thing in the right moment to help


As for praying...you may pray for cancer analysis result negative but prey for a happy, joyful and healthy future may be far better
