this was inspired by two of conbagui's designs - the one with the baubles and the one with the candles. but of course my snowflakes are paisleys, the colour is a bit darker and the candle flame was a bit more paisley like too ...
it's not exactly perfect :(. i had problems with getting both glow and colour on the flame at the same time and then i didn't like the way the candle looked 3d but the flame looked painted in. i think it will have to do, though, i have too much to do to work any more on this. oh, and the text to the right is from a swedish christmas carol about the star of bethlehem.

It's an "AnMal" paisley Christmas. :)

Wow those paisleys compliment the shape of the candle light so well. its like a magical winter candlelight snowflake blizzard if that's possible, a blizzard has never seemed so warm before. :)
Beautiful AnMal.

Very nice AnMal, I like how you have managed to use the paisley shape for the candle flame, it helps to pull the whole image together.

wallace: :hehe it sure is. no christmas without paisleys!
fluffybunny: i've been missing them myself  thank you!
molly: thank you :)! i liked the palette i used for this, there are both cold and warm blues and the go from light to dark.
mokonafan: thank you :). i like the flame in itself, i think. i just don't like it together with the candle, they are like two different styles.
conbagui: thanks, brother :)! i hope you can see how your images inspired me.
heroik: wow, thank you :)! i was thinking about blizzards when i made it. but sort of soft, cosy ones :).
he4rty: thank you :). i knew i wanted a candle on the right hand side, making the flame paisley shaped was sort of the only way to go.
erisian: oooh, thank you!!! the strange thing is i know you're totally honest :). may i add that hearing you sing "winter wonderland" and "oh little town of bethlehem" just made my day?

I agree with all that has been said. Also wondered when we would see your paisleys again.
