I deleted AVG from my laptop and it's still there............

Their volunteers took me step by step through removing an extremely bad rootkit infection my son's computer had - it took a few days of back and forth but we got rid of it and I didn't loose any data.

Sorry to intrude. I had ad issues. just updated to Firefox 25.xx and no more trouble. Also took care care of some of the sourceforge issues that linger. :kpix

I used control panel uninstalled lots of junk I never installed, and it said avg wasn't on the machine so I removed it from the list!...........Then I open firefox again...IT'S STILL THERE!.....So I uninstall firefox (including every history and bookmakr gone) anddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd......Avg is still there! -.-

Thank God I saved the bookmarks (most of them) ahead of time so at least I have that, but when my mother finds out HISTORY is gone, she is going to kill me. :lol

Who wants to come to my funeral? xD
I did uninstall the We downloader thing though, so I think my main problem should be fixed but I really don't want avg on here. :S
