In France we have the well-known 'Lac Pavin' (look for it on Google images). While looking for pictures of it I learned a new word: meromictic. But I wonder when I will be able to use it, maybe I should write a letter to the city council complaining that their swimming pool is too meromictic (or not holomictic enough)(the word also exists in French:)).

Here is a list of, Crater lakes, they are not always as distinctive a blue colour.
Does water have a color?
