GIMP Version: 2.8.10
Operating System: Windows
OS Version: Windows 7 64-bit
GIMP Experience: Beginner Level


I was trying to find a way to make a soundwave in Gimp without any other software. I found a tutorial, but am unable to make it very far in the tutorial. Tutorial

When it comes time to flip vertically, both layers flip. I have been unable to figure out how to stop that from happening.

If someone can please help me with this tutorial or point me in the direction of a better tutorial I would really appreciate it.

If you use layer-transform -flip vertically, only the active layer will flip. If you use image-transform-flip, the whole image will flip.

You're welcome. The other thing to remember is if you link layers, all linked layers will be transformed.
