Don't you have Windows 7 64bit on your PC Molly? You could test the version Pogogogo posted on FP Fire script.

That script-fu.exe worked for Rod. Graechan.

Are you sure you overwrote your existing script-fu.exe with the new one? I don't know where the old one is located in Windows

Windoze-7 (64-bit)
I applied the script and it works on the fire script. I have a black theme and can't get it changed so you can't see the scroll bar but it is there. Works great, First time I have ever seen the bottom of this script.

I can see the scroll bars thought the darkness. :hehe

Molly can you run script and not size it or anything, just immediately take a screenshot of the entire desktop and post it.

Thanks!

Molly. I was wanting a screenshot of the entire desktop, not just the script-fu window. Just run the script and immediately take a snapshot of the entire desktop. I need to know exactly how it looks on the full desktop, just after script is ran.

Thanks!

Sorry that I wasn't clear. It looks like you have a very high screen resolution and the script didn't even need to show scroll bars. What I really need is a screenshot of a full desktop on a Windows machine that can't show the script without displaying scroll bars.

I couldn't see the bottom of the script until I pulled it down at the corners, then the scroll bars showed up.

Thank you, Molly. That is exactly what I was wanting.

I see that the script did actually stop at the physical bottom edge of the screen. However, the Windows 7 task bar covers up the very bottom of the script-fu dialog (where the action buttons are). That behavior is much better than it was, considering that previously it expanded completely off the screen and there was no way to get to it.

What this tells me at that in Windows 7, the task bar is not being accounted for when it comes to the window size in GTK. There must be a different way to detect that, other than what I'm currently doing. I'll bet when you maximize GIMP, it stops at the top edge of the taskbar.

Dang Windows! You gotta love it.

I have the windows toolbar along left of screen and when I changed back to the default setting (along bottom),
the script-fu lower section of menu was obscured

Thanks Graechan. That is what I needed to see.

Hopefully, I can code around this problem, without too much hassle.

It looks like it might have went completely off the screen a little on your PC, Graechan. What we need is a test script with about 30 items in the dialog, so we can have a look at a really tall vertical dialog box.

And I thought everything was almost done. :crash

GnuTux I can still adjust the menu size buy dragging corners, buy default when the menu opens it looks at the computers screensize and not it's usable size,
i.e. screensize - any toolbars size when i activate menu
also by activating autohide solves the problem
