This was made using Gimp's Fractal Explorer and Silicon Mirror renders from the fractal and from a photo of Sweden, then put together in Gimp using layer modes, Layer masks and various opacities.

Thank you. Silicon Mirror is great software for mirroring stuff. It's a shame it's commercial but it's not expensive and IMO it is worth supporting. I only have the evaluation version at the moment.

Thank you. They are intricate things anyway but then I mirror them and layer the results and it makes them look even more complicated.

That could be made into a very nice painting with a bit of smudging and different stuff. I can see something from here sitting back and looking at it.
