Help please!
I downloaded the GMIC .exe as well as the zip files.
I am running GIMP 2.8 on a Windows 7 32 bit OS.
I have tried installing GMIC via the exe under both gimp 2.6 and gimp 2.8 under both scripts and plugins. Nothing works.

The zip I downloaded and extracted contains nothing but a short list of .dll files and no read me/instructions.
I am lost

Did you get it from the official download site here? http://sourceforge.net/projects/gmic/files/ It should go into your plugins folder and it should be an exe file.

Your unzipped folder should look like this below↓, if it contains a zlib1.dll file and that file is already in your bin folder delete it from your GMIC folder

Place the whole folder in your userfiles/plugins folder and restart Gimp
