$30 for the upgrade is a little steep for a cheap b@sturd like me (lol), but I do like the hirez output option. SVG export is a little buggy though; suspect there will be an update to 3x soon enough. :)

Yes it does have a PS plugin, but I rarely use PS and don't believe (though didn't try) it will work with other programs other then PS based on some inferred things stated in previous blog entries at the Flamepainter site, but I could be wrong. I might try to put the plugin in my PS folder and run CS5 to see how it works later, but ehhh; may not either. lolol

:)

Very nice transparency Lyle, you could make some very nice projects with this.

Very cool; looks like it's an iPad/Pod app though Marcello.

Yes, Flame Painter can do this too, but there's an SVG export bug for this type output (and it will soon get fixed). Looking forward to the SVG output since vectors would make for very powerful sculptures that are scale-able. :)

lol; my next upgrade will be DAP; very much looking forward to this one too. I guess, in the whole scheme of things, my toys aren't that expensive. ;)

As as side note, this is what I like to do with Flamepainter output. If turned the above to glass and ran Clone Layer Tool python plugin for this result. :)

FP 3.05 update just got released today. Fixed the SVG export but but FP doesn't support line mode yet (so the SVG export is still a huge file since the vector is exported as polygons even if using a line only preset). Still, I'm happy with FP and hopefully a line export ability will soon be added. :)
