I searched but I didn't find an implementation of conbagui's tutorial.
So, I tried to do something by myself.
I tried to follow conbagui's tutorial as far as I could (come steps cannot be implemented in the same way).
Results are close but not exactly the same.
The script offers some possibilities of personal outcomes:
1-the image is resized according to the entered text (as usual for Logos)
2-the font can be choosen among those you have available (as usual for Logos)
3-the font size can be between 15 and 350 (as usual for Logos)
4-the colour for stroking the text can be freely choosen
5-the background pattern can be selected among those available
6-the glass pattern can be selected among those available (best choice remains conbagui's Vitro, for myself I derived from that one a smaller Vitro-200px)
The script has conbagui's defaults (see attached "default" example).
You can play with the parameters, as I did (see "love" and "CConBricks" examples).
Using a big font size (like the default 350) I ran often into resource consumption, better to reduce it.
The script can be found under Script-Fu/Logos.
Hope you enjoy...

Dinasset, thank you so much for your script. :yes
What is the font on colourful background? I like it very much.
It's great to play with it, so nice and fast. But lots of thanks to Conbagui who created it. :jumpclap

GREAT work dinasset.

I was writing a similar script and was close to finish at the time i saw your script so I might as well post it for others to use (if they want to). It's here http://gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=10361&start=20#p137149
It doesn't have as many options as yours. But it does follow tutorial steps 3 to 12 exactly as described.
I wanted to leave it up to the user to defined their art. It just simply applies above steps to get stained glass window effect.

You must have something extra installed. I don't see Luce in my gimp.
I think i just found it by search for Luce.

I downloaded your script, it gives a sort of "alpha to logo" capability and saves to me - lazy man - to add this feature to my script! I will use it
(suggestion, if you don't mind: set defaults to the parameters anyhow)

By set defaults to the parameters do you mean like the filenames? so user don't have to browse? I don't know how exactly since i don't know where the files are located when they download it. I did try to give it a string of like "vitro.pat" and so on for other files but it didn't seem to set it... I just learned scheme yesterday from a youtube video (3 videos) so I am brand new to it.
Any hints for me as to setting the default?
