Cool result, Marcello. :cool

This script has been updated to EnviroLogo Version 1.2. The Create Logo menu option has been enhanced to support a Full Text box, rather than just a single line of text. I've been meaning to do this but have just gotten around to it.

Thanks Molly & Wallace. On the image, I used the neurons pattern overlay (grain extract) on the EnviroLogo text, then a little extrusion along the x-axis. Tweaked the colors/contrast, added a shadow & background.

I really like that "neurons pattern".

Terrific - thanks GnuTux both for the script and the 'how to info'; yet another new toy in my toybox!! I downloaded the script, tried it out and overlayed the logo with a sandstone pattern ... also accidentally bumped the background layer, but its a neat effect anyway!!

Wondering if you could make the script accept .pat files, also. There are so many cool patterns that could be used as enviromaps and not have to go through saving an image as a jpg or png.

Nice results, Marcello & OMG. :cool

That sounds like a good option, O. I think I should probably add the ability to set the emap dimensions too. :bigthup

Ok, this option has been added. You'll find "Active Pattern Fill" as an option in the Map Type dropdown. I've also added the option to specify a custom eMap size. An eMap larger than the original image can yield better results when using a pattern fill for your eMap. On the flip side, an eMap smaller than the original image can be useful when using a map generated from a gradient. You can always experiment to get the best results.

Also, I changed the default bump map blur/depth from 5 to 1. The results you get from varying this value really depends on the eMap and the effect you're after.

EnviroLogo Version 1.3 is up on GIMP Scripts.

Used the script to help produce this result.

I am thinking it would be cool to do the enviro text first, then BRL it. I an anxious to find some time to try this!
