Ready for testing

Image
Gmic "Psychedelic Glasswork" by PhotoComiX, on Flickr

The filter has 4 modulo :

1) "Stained Glass"
identical to the Stained Glass filter but for a extra option
"White Separators "(= "Double invertion" see viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1413)
"White Separators " don't change only the separator color, may work well on some images much less with other

2) "Layer Fx"
All Layer Fx could be switched off or on
To switch off chose last option from the dropdown list "Skip Merging" ( or set Opacity to 0 )

3) Quick Adjustment
allow to apply on the fly with default setting Contrast Mask and/or Local Normalization

4) "Mirrors Control"
Also this module may be switched off or on (from "Activate Mirrors ")
If enabled will add mirror effects (identical to what offered by the "mirror array" filter)

Feedback highly appreciated ! :yes

PS
Be aware of the very last option: :wh
may multiply image size beyond immagination !!

(if you increase the value for "Iteration", if not will "only" double or quadruplicate image size, )

Oh, I didn't have the new filter. I do now.

Here is my double-inverted image (I turned off the mirroring).

Wow O.. a big claque for the first tester :clap :clap :clap :jumpclap :jumpclap :jumpclap :jumpclap :clap :clap :clap

Looks fine, as the name hints the filter should "psychedelize" yet your image is quite readable :yes

Oh i couldnt resist -
Another with desaturation applied and all the white removed.
Then i applied a full spectrum gradient set at radial for a back ground. Interesting results.
I also saved this one (without the full spectrum background), as a pattern. :)

Without the background -

Who'd have thought to use spyrogimp? Great idea Rod. I nabbed your pattern. It will make a great texture, too.

Thanks O.
It isn't tile-able you will have to fix that if you want it seamless. :)

Great spider web effect!

Great spider web effect!

Tileable or not everything could become tileable thank to the the Magick Mirrror included :hehe .
..you may get not just one several symmetric tiles even from that spider

Tile

we are in perfect syncronicity:
this is what i was going to post bedore see your message popping out (at soon i pressed the submit button)

and you just did something close !

Quote:
i am wondering if add the option to run some preset (only as preset with no control to tweak, in case preset do NOT need to be installed )

As example the very last Oregonian-Spider-Pattern after Graphic Novel-Dark Moody

What you think to the idea to add the option to run a preset before the mirrors option ?

I was thinking too a dropdown "Fx" list with

1 Contrast mask (default)
2 Local Normalization (default)
3 A Graphic Novel preset
4 another GN preset
5 a Graphic Boost preset
6 another GB preset

again the preset doesn't need to be installed as preset, the option will allow just run the equivalent filter with that hardcoded setting

Rod, I tried a spyrogimp one and used a gradient to color the spyrogimp lines, then overlayed it onto a gradient.
