I have to turn off the quick correction mask or it shows "preview error". Am I doing something wrong?

I'm still using 1.4.8.3. because 1.4.9.0. isn't working for me.

no idea i too have 1.4.8.3 and my gmic is suddenly go nut, the weirdest things happen to the menu list ,duplicated entries that were never there show up, the filter names in the list may change if i hover the mouse on, and suddenly i get a lot of preview errors,not only for this but also for several other filter in the standard menu

I am sure is not my filter to do this mess i fear something wrong happened when refreshing the filters...

all weird things started few minutes after i added to the.gmic file the stamp filter rewritten by David and refreshed

Instead Stamp give a correct preview but doesn't nothing, no error messages no any change to the image

Hey Mahvin. I had an issue earlier. Try this (at least it worked for me). Download the earlier version 1.4.9 and then refresh the presets. Then install the current version of 1.4.9 and all is well then refresh. Note that the presets are not where they use to be. They are now alphabetized (even the custom .gmic ones). So far all is well. Still weird that I had to do it this way. Originally I had the old version then just updated the new version, but I didn't realize that the presets were alphabatized (and thought it removed the ability to use .gmic because of it), so I Went back to 1.4.8.3 and then sort of got armpulled to try 1.4.9 again, and I got some weird issues until I did the steps as mentioned. Strange that I had to do the install this way.

It won't even let me open G'MIC, though. So, I can refresh it. It gives me the error without ever opening G'MIC.

Weird; must be an issue with the Linux version. Haven't opened Ubuntu yet to update it (don't think I will either; even David mentioned some strangeness with the 1.4.9 betas). Just lucky I got today's version to work again, though I had to updated 1.4.9b by first installed 1.4.9a (yesterday's build) before replacing it with today's build.

It is not a problem of the last version because Mahvin and me are still using the previous, and i doubt a linux only issue because i have similar problem on windows, so i still suppose something wrong with filter update.

Anyway i noticed also a silent attempt of windows update, and often windows updates cause quirks to my laptop, till i don't reload it and i didn't yet.

I call the version of "Contrast Swiss Mask" i posted here, instead then what included in gimp by default,( the 2 are identical but for the function name )

Clearly me and O had both in our .gmic file so everything worked

Hey for those of us who are as lazy as I am (:D) take and right click on the file in App and whatever the Gmic one, make shortcut. Place on desktop New filter, Right Click shortcut, edit how you need save. Prosper in Laziness

The error msg. is "A 'done' command is missing at return point."

Maybe you didn't noticed the update , or you copied the code before, or the page was cached by your browser and you didn't refresh

try again be sure to get the page as now not as from your browser cache
