It seems your eyes can be made sharper with better alignment of the irises. Are you using guides to align?
This is what i do.
I use one photo/image (and move it to bottommost layer, i usually use the largest image) as reference.
Create guides to show me where the irises of the eyes are, if i am doing directly facing photos, if they photos are different perspective i just use one of the irises and bottom of chin as reference.
Then I have google spread sheet that i created to do all the simple tedious math for me..
then for each layer, i rotate so it's generally straight, align one of the irises, move the mouse to the second iris (or bottom of chin if they're not head on perspective). enter x-coordinate into spread sheet (or y coordinate if i am using chin instead of iris) and the spread sheet calculates how much to scale up/down by percentage. Then I scale up/down using that percentage, and move the layer so that it matches with the guides.
Also i notice that after layering all images, the result is usually low contrast, so i create new from visible and bump up the contrast.
