G'MIC is some kind of plug-in type system with a whole bunch of cool filters. It's like a whole program of filters that sits inside Gimp. The filters are in the hundreds I think, and are very cool.

250 + filters, plus some being developed by users like Tom Keil, PhotoComix, Karo, and of course, David, the creator of G'MIC. The website link shows you first hand all the filters and what they do.

I would reccomend installing it for anyone who uses GIMP, not all of the filters are useful for all of the people, but most can be useful and give cool unexpected effects
