Hey

I have been playing with different things and decided to do some more work in creating brushes and using the filters in gimp. I just made these 2 pieces on my own. I thought I would share here. I was having fun anyways. :paint

I like them. I think they would make cool crafted Thank You or Birthday cards (or any spring special occasion, too). :)

Those are all very pretty pieces and the colors are very fluent. :)
They remind me of the old paddle my Mom and Dad had hanging on the wall
with those pretty flowery images on it.

ahh the memories.

Thanks everyone :) I did them mostly with brushes I created (gbr & gih) from clipart I had for decorating cards, etc. I just cleaned them up resized and changed the colors of the flowers. I think I like creating brushes. :paint

Now if I can learn how to draw my own clipart really good that would be even more fun. :hehe

I am having a bit of trouble with my tablet and sensitvity with Gimp using brushes.
Maybe I need to change the settings? I did some made it worse. LOL Any suggestions?

Possibly you need to set the pressure levels in the brush tool options themselves?
I have to get the Hanwang tablet manual out and read it through one of these days :lol

That is cool that you made brushes out of images and clipart.

@ Rod.. Thanks :tyspin I was wondering how those little boxes and adjustments worked not there yet in my reading in my book. :) I had played with them a little still don't know their full use yet. I think I got my settings so my pen works better. I will just keep playing them. :wh

@ 2-ton. Thanks once I learned a few tricks from everyone here I just applied them to the clipart and black and white images. I had in my little stash. Some art is pretty scary and other is really good. :) The line art tutorial I found was helpful in learning to clean up line art type images. :paint
