I thought i would revisit this 3D bowl and add thickness to it.
and it's on a wooden table with shadow :hehe

I like the wooden bowl, especially the coloring of it. Did you use an e-map?

Nope, i don't even know how to use e-map.

For the thickness edge on top of bowl, I just filled a layer with the same material as the bowl and mapped it to a plane (120 degrees of z rotation where the bowl was 30 degrees of z rotation from tutorial). and then used the ellipse select tool select top of bowl and cut that out from the plane then shrunk the selection and moved it up a bit to make the far edge a little thinner than the close edge and cut a hole into that plane.

Thank you. I have looked at that tutorial several times but never got it done. Hope to do it soon.

very nice tran.
I cheated last one I did. Just ran G'MIC to get a cup and rotated it before pressing ok. Can't remember how but I cut it off where the stem started. This way I still got a thicker, rounded edge. ;) Have to do Oregonian's tut again one day.
