I've been trying different ways to obtain some interesting background textures using PC's filters, and various filters on G'MIC (trying to find ways to simplify the process). But I always end up using Mathmap to speed things up. Does G'MIC have a tiling process like Mathmap's Square Decompose? It probably does, I'm just not making the connection (and up too late, again).

Anyway, Lyle got me started on these:

:lol I thought those were Lyleoglyphics or something like that.

Now you've got me playing in Lyle's stencil again, mahvin. Mine is not seamless though. It's lots of fun to play with.

I have to add this. David just gave it my name since I more then insisted that he keep the way the former stencil worked and he left it for me that way. I still like the old stencil better, but do like using the current stencil for a template before feeding the result into the Voronoi Stipple program to create circlisms. :)

Yes, Lyle, you're responsible for my drifting into the realm of Lyleoglyphics (sp).

O: It's easy to get caught up in making them. I'm still looking at G'MIC for a tiling process like Square Decompose.

It's fun to play with the stencil script again. I remember quite a few mosaics we all made. Zebra image found here.

I am working on a Mayan calendar image using your technique (which I LOVE, btw).
