this is a special edition without the use of g'mic, for people like Dalia
differences:
- the initial smoothing is obtained by gimp selective gaussian blur
- no post-processing available (they were all using g'mic)

Dalia, could you try it?

I'm not sure I understand what the reference is to mac users and/or where the DIEGO items reside in GIMP or how to install them in GIMP??? (been away for far too long I think). Can someone please give me some direction with this

I can only find one of the Diego things in my GIMP
It occurs in a column named Diego and it is the Mosaic one.
The others I have no idea where to locate them, but they are all housed firmly in my python folder
after I managed to unpack them..."shrugs"

I'll have to find a tutorial on how to use them now....:)

are you using Mac?

Edit:
yes, you are

in this case please have a look at post #15 under the thread "WireframeMapSE", and at the subsequent post #16 by Dalia: she solved her problems (..." I did do the BatCHmod "...).
Maybe the problems are the same in your system (attribute "executable" not set appropriately)

I have not main menu item "Diego", However the PY file is in the Plug In Folder in the MyName gimp folders, where I put all additions to Gimp. Tonight I will take a screen shot of my menu.

2-ton, same indication to you as to Dalia and Pauline, check the .py files have the attribute "executable"

The way I got it to work -

Unzipped the "7z" file to my downloads folder (I've attached it below as a "zip" file)
Placed the plugin with .py extension in...follow the path: Your Name > Library > Application Support > Gimp > Plugin

Opened up BatchMod checked all under "Options" and checked "apply to enclosed folders and files" (down at the bottom of the screen) then "Apply".

Now open Gimp and it should be under menu heading "Diego".

Hope this helps.

akky, as per our PM conversation, adding the following here in case someone else might be able to use it.

BatCHmod
If options are greyed out - where it says file, navigate to your plugin folder and click open. All boxes should now be functional.

Good job so many of us adore wood. Thought I would 'cross over' from carving and try yet another terrific Dinasset script on some holiday photos from Bordeaux ...

A dark alley ...

They are beautiful omg. I'm curious how much of a difference, if any, there is between the "Windows" vs the "Mac" plugin.
