My favorite by far -

Oh I remember Rose too. She and the human doctor got a world all to themselves (well, her mom was with them too; lol).

I absolutely adore Billie Piper, who played Rose Tyler. She is a dream, to me!

That one was kind of sad. Plus her mom was daffy but likeable (spell checker changed that to lickable and I had to change it back)

I know this is a gimp board but we should have a "favorite assistant" poll

I was all set to "not like" Amy Pond and the new Doctor, but I am actually looking forward to the new season.

I liked how during David Tennant's run that they would have previous Companions...it was quite nice to see Sarah-Jane.

A side note: I've seen "Everyone remembers their First Doctor"; I started watching at the very end of John Pertwee's tenure, then stayed with the show through Tom Baker (I graduated and he moved on). I resumed watching during David Tennant's run.

I wasn't much on Amy either but I'm getting used to her. I think that's one of te really neat things about the series. I don't like every new doctor or any new assistant but they all seem to grow on you, except tegan, I couldn't stand her. All she ever did was whine cry and gripe.
The link i posted from find a grave did tell how Elizabeth died, cancer.

I don't know the names of all of the different companions, but I liked them all for different reasons.

Names of assistants, both in the show and in real life are required reading for dedicated Whovians.

I knew them at one time but, due to meds, can't remember them all. Besides, I can barely remember my name!

Ok, that's a good excuse, at least I use it too.

If you really want to refresh your memory on the subject, the Dr. Who page on Wikipedia (of course) will provide links to lists of all the Doctors and Companions, and the actors and actresses.

We just set our DVR to record the whole BBCA series. I don't know if it's all new stuff or if it starts from the beginning...we shall see. This is the first time we tried to use the recorder so time will tell if we can ever figure out how to watch it, lol.
