The hosting server will receive software updates this Friday: 04-22-11.

MySQL database server from version 4.1 to 5.0 and will also include upgrades of PHP4.4, PHP5.2 and Apache to their latest stable versions.

I don't have exact times so it could be any time during the day.

Hopefully, these updates don't break everything. :hehe

The updates are on the server side. There are enhancements, as well as bug & security fixes to the packages I mentioned in the first thread.

I can only hope there are no changes that affect the operation of Gimp Chat but I won't know until all the updates are in place. It's possible there's some outdated/depreciated phpBB code which will need to be updated.

There is also the possibility of other domains on the server having issues with the new updates that could affect server performance, which in turn could affect Gimp Chat.

The updates are underway now. You may experience intermittent outages as the updates progress. I'll post back to this thread when the updates are complete.
