David,
Rod just discovered that one of my filters (Stained Glass version 2) crashes when executing a statement related to the use of G'mic filter "Cracks".
Syntax was probably changed in the last release(s) of G'mic.
(You talked about it in one of your posts)
The statement included in my filter is:
-gimp_cracks 0.05,-80,0,0,0
How has to be modified to get the same result I got previously with the new "Cracks" filter?
Thanks a lot

addendum:
if there is no possibility to simulate that effect, could be possibly be created in the next update a filters set
- gimp_cracks
- cracks
reloading previous versions and rename the new versions as
- gimp_cracks_new
- cracks_new
I ask only for compatibility reasons, and only if feasible.
Thanks David

Hello dinasset,
Indeed, filter "Cracks" has been recoded from scratch a not so long time ago.
Thus, I'm afraid I can't give you an equivalent set of parameters for rendering exactly the same effect as before !
What could be done anyway is to copy/paste the old code of this filter and create a new G'MIC command with it, a command that you could invoke in your own filter.
Do you think defining your own G'MIC command is possible in your script ?

I don't know how could it be possible to define G'mic statements inside a python filter.
For sure I can copy the two old versions and put them into my G'mic directory, but the problems is for the other users. That's why I asked you to have it back in the next official release. If you do not like the previous proposal, they can be restored with the suffix _old; then making the simple change in my filter to call gimp_cracks_old is quick and easy for me to do.

Ah ok, I can restore it with the suffix _old indeed. I'll take a look at it.

Should be OK now, after a filter update, with commands '-cracks_old' and '-gimp_cracks_old'.
Let me know !

On the margins of the new filter Cracks:

- open the image and add alpha channel.
- run filters Cracks:
- select channel all - color selection does not work
- select channel RGBA (all) - color selection does not work
- select channel RGB (all) - color selection works well.

Is not that a mistake?
