I'm using Gimp 2.8.18. It does not have Metallica in Create/logos/. It is under Script-fu/logos/metallica. Here is a sample.

I reinstalled the script with the new version. It is now under script fu/logos/Metallica and the script still doesn't produce an outcome. I'm using windows 7 64 Bit. I still get that same error.

I have the recent version and it still produces this error: "Error while executing script-fu metallica
Error (: 1) Procedure execution of plug-in-g'mic failed on invalid input arguments."

open the menu and click on run, if unsuccessfull please send me an image of the folder where the script is installed else do a search on your gimp for 'Metallica.scm' and post the results

What a mess you have in Gimps script folder, your scripts should be in your script folder e.g. C:\Users\username\.gimp-2.8\scripts

Well they're not in that folder and my scripts have been in the folder that I screenshot since I've had gimp.

This is my other scripts folder:

I have windows 7 and when I began using gimp, I was not aware that the scripts had to go in the gimp 2.8 scripts folder. Other wise, what would be the point of having the Gimps script folder?

What version of G'MIC do you have?

What version of G'MIC do those of you who have a working script have?

I ask because David has a habit of changing the API for G'MIC and therefore breaking scripts.

the point of having the Gimps script folder is to contain scripts vital to the running of gimp. You need to uninstall gimp then re-install and only install files in your .gimp-2.8 folders treat all other folders except bin out of bounds

I have decided to leave the scripts where they are. There are only a few of them that don't work, and the ones that don't work, I just toss out and delete. I see no reason for me go to through the hassle of uninstalling and reinstalling gimp just so that the scripts are in the right folder.

On another note, the Metallica Script now works.
