resynthesizer
I have used in the past the
resynthesizer to heal selections, but while searching the forum for a problem, I came across this thread about the
GMIC - Inpainting [patch-based] under Repair.
How was the first image (oranges and bricks) done with GMIC. I could not reproduce the fade of oranges into the bricks.
There was a link to
http://blog.patdavid.net/2014/02/gettin ... nting.html, which described using the GMIC inpaint. This is where I got the steps below:
1. I did a screen shot and removed the words via resynthesizer (image below).
2. Then I duplicated the image
3. Made a rectangle selection as shown in the
GMIC thread4. Sharpened the selection
5. Filled the selection with red
6. Used the GMIC - Inpainting [patch-based] with default values and then tried others
I've tried Inpainting on a few other images and sometimes I get a red outline of the selection left on the image. I played with the options, but couldn't seem to get rid of it.
If you had an old photograph that had wrinkles would you use one of these two tools to remove the creases.
