That's really good! I have Krita installed, but never used it to draw. I'm not much of an artist anyway, I'm more of an image hacker.
Krita is excellent for painting, but it does have a slew of filters and "image-hackish" tools too, actually. Worth experimenting with.

She did! What better way to wake up in the morning than with a sleeping troll on your phone...

I love your usage of the "water color like" painting effect.
I also think the overall composition has a very serial quality to it,
which is suggestive of a dream like state.
Thanks! I'm really crappy with real-life water colors (I'm more of an oil paint guy), but on the computer you don't have the issues with layering (having to work from light to dark) that one has with real water paints. And as you say, it can produce a bit of a "loose" effect. Out of curiousity, what you mean by the overall composition having a very "serial" quality to it? I'm not familiar with the term "serial" in this context.

griatch: words can't describe how pretty this is! what i like best about it is the general composition (a bit art nouveau-ish with all the flowing lines), but i also love how the colours move around the picture and as usual i think you've done a great job with the facial expression.
Glad to hear that! She is all curves and flowing lines here, you are right that it may be a little art-noveau-ish, hadn't thought about it that way. Her face is very familiar to me by now - just draw opposite to the frown of the Unknown Girl (of Red Apples Lie) and all is well.

While a fun effect I think this more looks like TV noise than a shining effect, to be honest.

Considering the water-colorish style of this it might be interesting to apply some sort of water-color filter instead, to take it every further down that route. Just a though.
