Mahvin I could not get either Gmic or mirror to function so I used the kaleidoscope
plug-in with a menu choice so that it wasn't selected with the display possible choices
part of Luminescence. Yes the wounded plug-in lives on. :yes

Image

done secting Golden gradient and kaleidescope

I will post my final script-fu soon. But where to give it a home?any thoughts on that

I've been getting some really interesting results, by having alienmap be interactive. I did find that using split gradients doesn't work too well. Blended gradients work best. I also moved the kaleidoscope to take place right after solid noise, which I also made interactive (at least til I find the perfect setting for me). I coded in the .005 2nd angle recommendation for kaleidoscope, so I don't have to make that adjustment each time it opens.

I'm having some great fun, trying to find that perfect noise setting. :)

I believe (not positive though), it is a new script being created Willy.

Rod: Actually its an old script (Luminescence.scm) being re-worked. Filters/Render/Luminoscope sounds likes a good location. I wouldn't rename it for something that already exists, though. It might confuse people.

Graechan is working on a non-interactive version, which he will make available soon. I'm keeping my version interactive.

I know the original script creates a new image. Typically, scripts that create new images are put under File/Create.
But it's your script and your choice.

It's actually Graechan who is working on the script. Whatever he decides. I've made alterations to my own copy that resides in the original location it came registered with.

Graechan:

I've been coming up with some very unique patterns that will enable me to make some gear-like animations. Like this (what I call a bug docking station) combination of images:

For PhotoComix and anyone else here is the link for the up to date version of Luminescence.

File is now posted further on

The kaleidoscope Plug-in should work NONINTERACTIVE if called using existing settings
e.g. (plug-in-kaleidoscope RUN-WITH-LAST-VALS image activeLayer 0 0 0 0)
and that is what I am trying to use in the show possible images for Volute Abstraite.
Part of Luminescence :( , but with no joy so far.
