I didn't know about this plugin, thanks for the link. It works fine for simple shapes.

Thank you rich but I'm not sure it is the same one. Although I seem to have those files in my folders already I cannot find them in gimp any where. I have about 3-4 places where there is paths but none of them lead to shape creator.
I had two before and they worked side by side perfectly.

Dont know how many shapes this one does but I know the other one did about a dozen.
Square/rectangle, circle / sphere, polygons, heart, diamond, drop, spiral, flower, star, gear, grid and it had quite a few settings to make them smaller or larger, stroke colour etc
Checked the site again about installing them. All is well now and there is probably more too.
