I have the Kaleidoscope .exe plug-in from windows binaries thread
It creates weird 1px line from center to right edge with all images, tried both 32x and 64x versions
Animation script obviously creates same error on all layers.

Must be a round-off error. Where is the source?

I had a go yesterday, unable to reproduce the problem in Windows (or in linux)

rich2005, could you upload the Linux binary?
I would try to install it from the .c that was included but don't know how to. At least yet.
I'll try the windows version from another source.

Thank you.

Try the attached, 64 bit linux Filters -> Distorts -> Kaleidoscope
The usual, unzip, permissions are set but check anyway.

Edit: Might be worth stating the parameters you used ie. image size / filter settings etc.

------------
And different subject: since all the talk is Gimp 2.10 there should be a nice GEGL filter that previews in the canvas. Filters -> Distorts -> Kaleidoscope

of course it was in Gimp 2.8 as well as Mirrors but who ever looks in Tools -> GEGL operation ;)
