I know; another one. Well, my answer is, who else do you know would do so? lolol

As a side note, samj said she created a g'mic preset that sort of follows the flow that I outlined in my tut, but I couldn't get it to work; maybe someone here can and test it out. :)

Very nice Lyle.
I really like the colors in this one.

Placed in the user.gmic of samj's version of 2.10RC1 it works, Lyle.
Here a simple test.

I use the official G'MIC release so it's possibly it cannot read user.gmic. Result looks great, Diego. :)

Lyle, I use it in GIMP 2.8.22 with official G'MIC 2.2.2 pre#180321,

It works fine Lyle. Thank you.

What directory are you putting the file in, iarga? Again, I placed it in my roaming>gmic folder with all the other .gmic files but G'MIC doesn't see it. Maybe I'll try again. This time I'll close GIMP out completely before doing so. :)

I put it in user.gmic under roaming, as usual.

samj just posted that she included it as a custom preset and placed it in lylejk directory in G'MIC's Testing folder. Impressive and incredible. Below's a direct result from preset alone (just with a few slider changes). :)

Lyle, it's great that you can now use the filter yourself as well. :bigthup

I'm glad too, iarga.

As a side note, I found that using stencil (low radius) instead of lylejk's stencil and then follow that by anisotrophic smoothing (fake smudge) gives better results. :)

Here's one that I first pre-rendered using Stencil (around 1 for radius) followed by anisotrophic smoothing. I then fed that result into samj's preset. :)

Excellent results with nice detail.

I've spent many more months on other binges like the circlism binge and the mosaic binges, skinnyhouse; this one's still in its infancy. lol

Looks great, Sallyanne. Indeed, adding color and then doing some more aniso can give a very painterly result and I'm toying with doing such, but have little time at the moment to pursue. Good that you are playing too. :)
