Where are we to put the new scripts and plugins now?

I didn't see empty folders when I finally found the 2.10 gimp folder

You said Partha version in another post.

The location of your Gimp 2.10 profile is C:\Users\your-name\Appdata\Roaming\GIMP\2.10\

How to get there type in %appdata% in Windows Explorer then keep clicking ;)

Thanks rich I will have a look now. Yes you were right. I shouldv'e mentioned it here too.

Edit: Weird I don't have a gimp 2.10 there only a 2.8 and that was chaned about the time I installed the 10. 11 files were added. I found the 2.10 before in windows > programs.
I haven't shut my pc since I installed it. I will see what I have after I do.

It's not where you mentioned - no appdata either.
Path to my 2.10 is Windows (C:) > Program Files > GIMP-2.10.0-std.
The only folders in there are frameworks, gimp (which doesn't have the extra folders), nufraw and python.

You can always go to Edit>Preferences>Folders>Plug-ins to see where Gimp looks for them.

I know you wouldn't mislead me, I had the same trouble a few years ago and couldn't find my 'log' which Partha said I should have ( we unsuccessfully had quite a few emails to fix my problem).
Anyway I found the link in preferences. Copied it and put it in my address bar and found the path you mentioned but when I went back to the sallyanne folder I could not find AppData again

Edit: checked out the last part of your video. didn't before. ok, works :)

So that's why I couldn't see it. Was hidden. I have made it visible now. Thanks guys.
