I know there are many creative geniuses living nearby that have adopted GIMP for their toolkit. Perhaps we are collectively benefiting from the world renowned bud from B.C. that continues to inspire & bring out our best work.

As a retired programmer, ex-club dj, ex-radio dj, ex-radio music director and a few other ex-careers, I decided to adopt a music and computer related hobby: music videos, which I display on my RaveRocks You-Tube channel. I have NOT Monetized my channel on purpose. The list of reasons isn't important. Perhaps I'll include the list in my memoirs. I'll need all the filler I can find. Until you buy the book, enjoy the videos.

Two years ago, a friend recommended GIMP to me, but my brain couldn't wrap itself around all the new concepts until about a year ago when I found some great You-Tube tutorials that eased the learning curve. I'm still a newbie and I know I've only scratched the proverbial varnish. I'm here to learn. I appreciate and support communities that unselfishly share their knowledge with those who want to improve their skills. Thank you for being here.

I didn't expect this many replies. Not all help web sites have an effective Welcome Wagon such as this. Within a few hours of signing up at gimpchat, I parked the url for easy return. I've found a ton of great reading and a website worthy of being an active member.
