Hey thanks, Lyle (I think!) I wasn't expecting David to just up and use mine, but he did. So, if it made him happy, I'm happy...

Do you guys need a laugh? Yes? Ok, lol, here goes:

I drew up a new concept image of the tiger cub. In my mind, it's all innocent stuff, but sometimes, no matter how tame your mind is, someone else will see another angle.

Take the wife, for instance. She takes one peek at my drawing and says, "You got the cub beating the poor lil GIMP?"

Wha?! NO! It took a few secs for me to register her meaning, and standing back looking at the drawing, you'd have to agree she's got a point:
Image

The GIMP does look like he's about to get a beating, doesn't he? GAH!

Still, that's a cool idea Mahvin. Wilbur instead of a rabbit. Very clever. :)

You're welcome, David! And thank you for all your hard work on G'MIC! I truly appreciate the plug-in. :)

Probably wouldn't look like a club if it was thin like a magic wand :lol
I see where she is coming from though.Congrats on the Mascot image Mahvin.
Nicely done.

Well, Rod, the theory was, relate to the tiger being small by making everything else bigger. In theory, that might be fine for size comparison art, but, lol, I think you and the wife are right on this one. I think I will be forgiven by the art gods if I make the magic wand way smaller.

My wife told me a story about how she used to hang her doll over the clothes line and beat it with a stick - your image brought back such memories :lol

I think Micky is a cute mascot and a cute name for him to boot! :)
Perhaps an image with Wilbur and Micky together in a swing would be appropriate?

Yeah, another good example there, Rod. All sorts of ways to integrate GIMP and G'MIC with imagery.

I surely don't want people thinking G'MIC is brutal and savage!

I like the idea of them together, and Micky for G'MIC(y) is great!

Sorry, Willy. My name is staying on the picture. I'm signing my work, like most artists do (that's my handwriting).

PC: I do have it in xcf format, but its painted via layers. Like that hat, for instance, isn't one solid object, parts of the brim is missing behind Wilber.

What I usually do, when painting via GIMP, is to copy from visible and create new image and continue to work some more. I'll be glad to provide you with the last xcf file.

but maybe you still have if not all some of the components on separate layers?

PC: Here's the last xcf file, before I tussled his fur on the fringes. I also reduced the lightness of my name.
