@mahvin

A wonderful tiger cub! Is this intended to be used as a logo, or is it, as a mascot, always going to appear this size. If the latter, it'll work fine. If one wanted to use it for a logo I suspect it's a bit too detailed though; maybe you should consider producing a version with simpler lines, easier to scale.
... But as said, I like the image in itself! It has a nice airbrushed feel to it, like you would see it on the side of those travelling circus attractions.

@Oregonian

I keep getting impressed with the patience of people - I would go crazy using so many layers as you do (not to mention I would mix them all up)! Do you usually use this many layers or is this something for this particular layout? Anyway, the result is good, clean and effective, much like a vector image. :)

Griatch: I'm working on the "flat" logo version for the G'MIC icon. It's more or less going to be black and white, and a vector, and simplified.

The drawings of Mahving are already visible on the webpage.
The first one, on the main page of the website (http://gmic.sourceforge.net/),
the other one, on the page dedicated to the GIMP plug-in (http://gmic.sourceforge.net/gimp.shtml).
Really, Gmicky is a really nice mascot !

the best way to keep track of layers is to rename them something logical

There is also Rupert, although my artistic abilities are pathetic. Ok, That's not a serious idea, I just wanted to post that pic.

I just made many paths. I could have merged the eye paths and ear paths so that the right and left of each would be in the same path.

Anyway, having many paths allowed me to stack the different path fills into one image.

I did just a little further experimenting and used the g'mic / Patterns / Sponge filter on the finished bear and came up with a more fluffy one.
