Throw your stipple image into GMIC and use voronoi pattern

Great results; still I prefer the old school way with batch files. lolololol

:)

What will happen, will double voronoi cripple the stipple?
Tried it with Wilber from wiki.

Not good.
On another layer duplicate of Wilber: Canny edge, invert colors, MorphOp Erosion 5x5, G'mic Voronoi Pattern with same settings.

What I "thought" would happen, didn't. I was expecting a better mosaic outline and if you lower the subsampling rate to around 20% on the stipple, it gives a better pattern. It just didn't turn out the way I thought it would in my mind's eye.

When you get right down to it, sometimes "old school" is the best way. I use old filters on GMIC that work better than the paid filters for photography you see online. "Old school".

I created batch files that are still on my desktop where I can drag/drop a png file onto and it runs the preset with settings that I like. That's what I was referring to old school, Mahvin. lol

Of course there is some very old G'MIC presets that I still use quite regularly too. :)

What I am referring to per "Old School" is simple plain old math that is used in filters, whether it's in a familiar app, or an good old one (userfilter). Batch files are just syntax that calls up files to execute them, which is an old school process. We're not far off the mark. Without the math in those executions, the batch file would be pointless. LOTS of zeroes and ones involved! :)
